SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test (saliva)

The SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test is a diagnostic tool designed to detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, using a saliva sample. It is suitable for individuals displaying symptoms that meet the COVID-19 case definition, as well as for testing asymptomatic individuals who have been in contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases.

The test detects the presence of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigens, particularly during the acute phase of infection.

A positive result indicates the presence of SARS-CoV-2 viral antigens.

If you test negative but continue to experience symptoms associated with COVID-19, it is recommended that you seek further evaluation from a healthcare provider.
